I. To facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries gradually, the Chinese Embassy in Senegal to accept visa applications under the following situations through Chinese Visa Application Service Centers in Dakar:

1. Applicant but has an "Invitation Letter (PU/TE)" or "Verification Confirmation of Invitation" issued by the Foreign Affairs Office of the provincial government of the intended visit, or by the provincial Department of Commerce to visit China for economic, trade, scientific, technological, culture or sport purposes; Applicants must first provide the relevant documents by sending email to  (dakarcenter@visaforchina.org), and those who are approved to submit the application shall submit the application to the Dakar visa center with the reply email and all materials after completing the online filling form on the website of the Dakar visa center.

2. Applicant (Inc. the accompanying spouse and children under the age of 18) private matters or family reunion, but has obtained "Notification Letter of Foreigners Work Permit" as well as "Invitation Letter (PU/TE)" or "Verification Confirmation of Invitation" to work in China, Applicants must first provide the relevant documents by sending email to  (dakarcenter@visaforchina.org), and those who are approved to submit the application shall submit the application to the Dakar visa center with the reply email and all materials after completing the online filling form on the website of the Dakar visa center.

3. Applicant who intends to visit China for visit an immediate family member (Inc. parents, spouse, children, grandparents, grandchildren) who is in critical medical condition and in need of care, or arrange funeral matters of an immediate family member in China;  Photo copies of a medical certificate or death certificate, proof of relationships (Inc. birth certificate, marriage certificate, Chinese household registration, certificate letters from the local police bureau in China, notarial certificate of kinship, etc.), and an invitation letter from relatives in China are required. Applicants must first provide the relevant documents by sending email to  (dakarcenter@visaforchina.org), and those who are approved to submit the application shall submit the application to the Dakar visa center with the reply email and all materials after completing the online filling form on the website of the Dakar visa center.

4． Effective from 0 a m., 28 September 2020, foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permits for work are allowed to enter China with no need for applying for new visas. If the above category of residence permits held by foreign nationals expired after 0 a.m., 28 March 2020, the holders may apply for relevant visas by presenting the expired residence permits and relevant materials to the Chinese embassies or consulates on the condition that the purpose of the holder’s visit to China remains unchanged. The above-mentioned personnel shall strictly abide by the Chinese regulations on epidemic prevention and control.  Applicants must first provide the necessary documents by email (dakarcenter@visaforchina.org) and complete an online form on the Dakar Visa Center website.

Applicants in possession of a confirmation email will be allowed to submit their visa application. They can come to the center on the day of the appointment, indicated in the confirmation email, with the necessary documents.

5.  Other types of visa applications are temporarily not accepted.

II. The Dakar Visa center is temporarily closed. Applicants may contact +221 77 442 2929 or send E-mail to dakarcenter@visaforchina.org for information.

III. In order to ensure the health and safety of all, the applicants whom authorized to submit their visa application are requested to comply with the preventive measures put in place by the darker visa center. Wearing a mask and taking the temperature at the entrance are compulsory.
