In order to better serve the people-to-people exchanges between China and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and provide applicants with more comfortable and convenient visa application condition and more professional and efficient consular certificate services, from August 29, 2024, Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Jeddah (hereinafter referred to as "Visa Application Center") to accept visa applications of ordinary passports holders. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. The Visa Application Centre will be open on August 29, 2024.The Consulate General will no longer directly accept visa applications from ordinary passport holders since August 29, 2024.

2. Those who hold diplomatic or service or courtesy passports or applying for Chinese diplomatic, courtesy, or service visas shall still submit application directly to the Consulate General.

3. The Visa Application Center will collect the visa fees and express service fees on behalf of the Consulate General. The Visa Application Center charges a service fee. Please refer to the website of the Visa Application Center for service fee collection standards.

4. The Visa Application Center has no decision on visa approval. The Consulate General will decide whether to issue a visa, its validity, duration of stay and number of entries based on the applicant's personal circumstances. The consular officer may request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or supplementary materials according to the specific situation, or an interview.

5.According to the working arrangement, the Consulate General of the people’s republic of China in Jeddah will extend the exemption of fingerprints collection for eligible applicants applying for single or double entry business, tourist, family visit, transit, or crew visas until 31 December 2024.
