Notice on the Macao SAR Visa Application Procedure
Effective immediately, our Center accepts Macao visa applications from applicants located in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia. For the postal application procedures, please click here.
At present, citizens of 79 countries and regions, including Australia and New Zealand, may enter the Macao Special Administrative Region without a visa. Applicants from other countries and regions that are not eligible for visa-free entry may apply for a Macao visa in advance at the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in their place of residence, or obtain an entry permit upon arrival in Macao.
Foreign nationals travelling to both Chinese Mainland and Macao must apply separately for a Chinese Mainland visa and a Macao visa.
The requirements for applying for a Macao visa are as follows:
The visa officer will make a decision based on each individual application. Please complete the visa application form truthfully, clearly, and in full. Any false information, omissions, or illegible handwriting may result in delays in processing or even refusal of the visa application.
1. Application Documents

2. Visa Submission
The application of Macao visa can be submitted through our Center without an appointment.
3. Visa Fees and Payment Method
In addition to collecting the visa fee and express processing fee on behalf of the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne, the Melbourne Chinese Visa Application Service Center will also charge a service fee.
Payment can only be made by card.
4. Processing Time
For regularservice, the visa may be collected on the fourth working day after approval by the Government of the Macao SAR. It is recommended that applicants allow more than one month for processing.
