Where do I apply for a visa?
If you hold an ordinary passport, you should submit your application at the Visa Centre in the country where you lawfully reside.
What would be the best time for me to apply for a visa before my planned departure for China?
It is advisable that you apply for your visa approximately one month prior to your intended date of entry into China, but not earlier than three months.
Why do Chinese visas have different categories?
In light of China's laws and regulations, consular officers decide what type of visa is best suited for an applicants stated purpose of visit to China.
Is the service fee the same for a child?
Yes. The visa processing procedure is the same for a child, who is an independent applicant or an accompanying applicant sharing the same passport with the principal applicant. Therefore, the child incurs the same amount of service fee.
