Notice of Two-Way Mailing Service
Visa Application Center in Hamburg will provide two-way mailing service to applicants from now on. Applicants who live or work in Niedersachsen, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen, Hamburg and who do not need to have their fingerprints collected at a visa application center according to the policy can submit documents and collect passports and visas by post.
• The following applicants can be exempted from fingerprints collection:
(1) Until 31 December 2026, all applicants for short-term visas with a stay of up to 180 days (including multiple-entry visas), as well as applicants for Z visas with a stay of up to 30 days, are exempt from fingerprint collection. For visa applicants who are required to apply for a residence permit after entry (Z, Q1, S1, X1, and J1 visas), fingerprints will still be collected in accordance with relevant regulations;
(2) Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Visa Service Center in Hamburg with the same passport;
(3) Applicants who suffer from 10 fingers mutilation or whose fingerprints cannot be collected;
(4) Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70.
• The specific process is as follows:
Applicants need to refer to the "Visa Application Process" to submit a visa application online. After the application is approved, send the required documents for the visa application, the "Consent for Data Processing" and the “Mailing Service Statement” as required. After receiving the documents, the staff will send you a bill via email. Please transfer the corresponding fees to the visa center account according to the bill and price list. After the payment is received, the staff will process the visa applicaiton for you. We will use DHL Express to send you the passport, visa and receipt back. It takes about 7-10 working days from payment confirmation to receiving the visa.
* The Embassies and Consulates have the right to request a client to provide additional supporting documents or request the applicant to attend an interview. This may increase visa processing time.
